GridSense Systems™ patented solutions allow end-users to cost effectively monitor the power quality & reliability ("PQR") of electric transmission and distribution systems in applications where competitive offerings are non-existent or cost-prohibitive. PQR is mission-critical for electric utilities due to increasing demand for clean and reliable power and competitive forces resulting from world wide utility deregulation. Overall demand for clean and reliable power is high as industries and households increasingly deploy highly sensitive digital and electronic equipment. In addition, GSN provides real time and effective demand response capabilities to utilities to address aggregate loads on a network. Utility demand for these capabilities is growing due to increasing peak loads burdening aging infrastructure and generation supply constraints.
The unique PowerMonic™ PQR Analyzers and the LineTracker™ systems provide error free, real-time monitoring of faults, voltage disturbances, load logging and other power parameters on electrical networks, where it was previously uneconomical for utilities to monitor. These monitoring systems allow proactive maintenance, planning, regulatory data acquisition and timely operational decisions when events occur. The remote control and reporting NetSwitch systems allow utilities to shed time insensitive loads, such as irrigation pumps, at peak periods. The new transformer or retrofittable monitor TransformerIQ, consolidates all health checks, such as temperature, gas or moisture in oil, LTC position, cooling, alarms, etc. in a single unit.
